Men drop five strokes on day two of Beaver Fall Classic

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's golf team shot a 351 on day two of the Beaver Fall Classic on a beautiful Sunday, Sept. 23, at Hidden Creek Golf Club. Bluffton moved past HCAC rival Anderson University by a single stroke as the Beavers finished the weekend with a 707 total.

Spencer Daniels (Ashland, Ohio) and Michael Fimiani (Willoughby, Ohio) led the way with scores of 85 and 86, respectively. Anthony Mungia (North Baltimore, Ohio/North Baltimore) finished with an 89 for a 180 on the weekend, while Takoda Pratt (Shelby, Ohio/Shelby), Carter Mumbower (Newport, MI/Airport) and Nick Offenburger (Lexington, Ohio/Lexington) all checked in with identical 90's on Sunday.

Heidelberg University (603) captured a three-stroke victory with Capital University (606), Defiance College (607) and Miami University Hamilton (608) separated by just two strokes. Capital's Logan Holbrook took top honors at the Beaver Fall Classic with a two-under 142 which included a 67 on Saturday.

The Bluffton men travel to Browns Run Country Club for the Harrier Fall Classic in Middletown on Saturday, Sept. 29.
