Bluffton wraps up fall slate with 333 at the Anderson Fall Preview

ANDERSON, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's golf team capped off its 2018 fall slate with a masterful 333 on Sunday, Oct. 21. Inclement weather pushed a portion of round 1 to Sunday and the better conditions paid dividends for the Beavers who dropped 40 strokes on day two. Bluffton finished with a 706 for the weekend, 30 strokes better than HCAC rival Manchester University (736).

Carter Mumbower (Newport, MI/Airport) fired a 79 on Sunday, equaling Spencer Daniels' (Ashland) day-one score at the MSJ Stateline Shootout for Bluffton's best round of the year. Daniels and Mumbower led he way with identical 174's at Anderson. Michael Fimiani (Willoughby), Takoda Pratt (Sidney) and Anthony Mungia (North Baltimore) were separated by just four strokes (180-182-184) as the Beavers all dropped significant stokes on Sunday. Nick Offenburger (Lexington) finished the fall with a 186 and Julian LaVallee (Jefferson/Jefferson Area) carded a 197 to wrap up their fall season.

The Beavers will return to links in March when they head south for Spring Break.
