LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Bluffton University men's golf team wrapped up the opening weekend of the Heartland Conference Tournament with a 361 at the University Club of Kentucky on Sunday, April 28. Bluffton is firmly in 8th place heading into the final weekend at Anderson with a two-day score of 708 strokes.
Freshmen Spencer Daniels (Ashland) led the Beavers for the second straight day, this time with an 88 for a 171 at the University Club of Kentucky. Nick Offenburger (Lexington) dropped three shots from day one, finishing with an 89 on Sunday. Carter Mumbower (Newport, MI/Airport) and sophomore Takoda Pratt (Shelby) both carded 92's while Michael Fimiani (Willoughby) posted his second straight 100 for the Beavers.
Bluffton will put in another week of practice back in Ohio before the Beavers move to Anderson University in Indiana on Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5.
