Greensburg scores late for 1-0 victory at Muskingum

NEW CONCORD, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team went toe-to-toe with Pitt-Greensburg for over 85 minutes before an Orazio Barbarino net finder with 4:27 to play handed the Bobcats a 1-0 victory at Muskingum on Saturday, Sept. 1. Bluffton wraps up its first weekend under Head Coach Sean Elvert with a 1-1 mark, allowing just one tally.

Greensburg finished with a 17-12 edge in shots, including 7-4 on target. The Beavers forced three more corner kicks, while the Bobcats were whistled for three more fouls, 13-10.

Sophomore Connor Kaminicki (Northfield, Ohio/Nordonia) came up with six saves, while Christian Zapata (Livonia, MI/Adlai E. Stevenson) pressured the Greensburg back line with seven shots.

Bluffton will be back on the practice field until the Beavers head to Wittenberg University on Friday, Sept. 7 for a matchup with the Tigers.
