David Malaquias is entering his second season the graduate assistant coach for men’s soccer. Malaquias is a native of Vila Velha, Brazil, and moved to the United States at the age of 13. He was a 4-year varsity letterman, leading the Kingsway Regional High School team to a 19-4 season with an appearance on the South Jersey Group III Final, netting 12 goals and nine assists his senior year. Malaquias played club soccer with Cherry Hill Phoenix 94 and helped the team achieve a remarkable appearance in the top 50 GotSoccer.com National Ranking.

Malaquias went on to play college soccer at Misericordia University and earned honorable mention as a freshman in the MAC Freedom Conference, along with an appearance against Montclair State in the NCAA National Tournament. He was a key component in the steady rise of the program as Misericordia continues to contend for MAC championships. During his time there, the program earned three MAC Freedom Championship appearances, taking second place his senior year.

Throughout Malaquias' undergraduate studies, he has had numerous impressive internship opportunities. He had the pleasure of working twice with the NCAA DIII Regional Baseball Tournament in Moosic, PA. Another internship opportunity Malaquias seized was with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the AHL team affiliated with the Pittsburgh Penguins where Marketing and Game Night Entertainment were a part of his role. Malaquais accepted a 10-week internship in Manchester, UK, with the Manchester County Football Association (MCFA).

Malaquias earned his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management in 2017 from Misericordia University.
