WAUSEON, Ohio - The Bluffton University golf team continued its assault on the record books when the tied the school low with a team score of 367 on day one of the Defiance College Invite on Saturday, Sept. 7. The ink was not yet dry from Bluffton's school-record 367 at the Lourdes Invite on Wednesday, Sept. 4!
Sophomore Brylee Oberdorf (Green Springs/Clyde) bested the individual 18-hole mark of 90 that she shared with Keely Briggs (Franklin) and Marissa Hall (Avon Lake). Her 89 led the way for Bluffton on Saturday. Abby Bullion (Bellevue) followed with a 92, while Briggs, Hall and Haley Gill (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central) carded identical 93's on day one. Freshman Grace Branson (Carlisle) chipped in with a 96 as an individual.
Bluffton is back at Ironwood Golf Club on Sunday, Sept. 8, when the Beavers will look to undercut the school mark of 786 for 36 holes!
