Beavers shutout by Lions, 6-0

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's soccer team (5-11, 0-7) experienced a tough final week of their season with losses to Thomas More and Mount St. Joseph.

On Wednesday the Beavers hosted the Thomas More Saints and were defeated 6-1.  The lone score for Bluffton came from sophomore BRIANNE VON LEHMDEN (Ft. Jennings/Ft. Jennings).

Saturday the Beavers traveled to Mount St. Joe and dropped their last game of the season 6-0.  Senior goalkeeper ROCHELLE SACCOMEN (Ashland/Ashland) posted 11 saves for the match.

The Beavers were led offensively this season by sophomore BRIANNE VON LEHMDEN who tallied a team high 16 points with seven goals.  Sophomore JEN HOYT (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) and senior JEN BYRNE (Oak Harbor/Oak Harbor) both finished with seven points and three goals.  Senior goalkeeper ROCHELLE SACCOMEN led the Beavers defensively with 130 saves for the year including four shutouts.
