BLUFFTON, OHio - Freshman libero Brooke Kleman (Ottawa, Ohio/Ottawa-Glandorf) averaged 5.59 digs per set for the Beavers last week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week on defense.
The defensive specialist picked up a career-high 35 digs against Heidelberg on Saturday as the Beavers hosted the Sommer Center Spiketacular and she followed that up with 31 against Ohio Northern. Kleman earned All-Tournament honors for her efforts at the home invitational.
The Beavers (2-6, 0-0 HCAC) make the short trip to Ohio Northern in Ada on Tuesday at 7 p.m., before traveling to Louisville, KY, for the Spalding University Invitational this weekend.
