Bluffton takes Defiance in dual meet action

The Bluffton men's and women's cross-country teams notched a victory at Defiance on Saturday in dual meet action.

The women were led for the fourth straight meet by freshman SARAH HUMPHREY (Upper Sandusky/Upper Sandusky) who finished first in the 6k run with a time of 24:54.  Close behind her were juniors JEN CREAMER (Westerville/Westerville South) in third and LAUREN BORGA (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) in fourth place.

The men were topped by Sophomore DAVE ESPINOZA (Toledo/Whitmer) who ran a life time best in the 8k race with a time of 27:59.  Junior DAN ROSEBROCK (Napoleon/Napoleon) and freshman HILARY SHILASIO (Eldoret/Kenya) finished closely behind in third and fourth place.

Both cross-country teams will be back in action October 8, 2004 at the All-Ohio Championships in Delaware, Ohio.
