Josh Runda is currently in his third year as an assistant with the football program, where he serves as the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator. Runda was a graduate assistant at Bluffton in 2014-15 after graduating from Bluffton University where he completed a bachelor of arts in broadcasting and journalism. A native of Lima, Ohio, Runda is a graduate of Bath High School.

Runda was a middle linebacker for former Head Coach Tyson Veidt. He earned All-Heartland Conference honors three times, including a First Team All-HCAC selection in 2013. He wrapped up his career fourth on the career tackles list (274 tackles) and his 70 solo stops in 2013 set a new school mark for unassisted tackles.

Coach Runda, who will reside in Bluffton, takes pride in bettering student-athletes on and off the field.
