Women struggle on day one of HCAC Championships

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's golf team welcomed the Heartland Conference for the HCAC Women's Golf championship on Saturday, Oct. 12. The cold and windy conditions wreaked havoc on the scores as Bluffton stands in 8th place heading into the tournament finale on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Sophomore Abby Bullion (Bellevue) and freshman Marissa Hall (Avon Lake) led the Beavers with scores of 91 and 96, respectively. Freshman Haley Gill (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central) checked in with a 101, while sophomores Brylee Oberdorf (Green Springs/Clyde) and Keely Briggs (Franklin) rounded out the Bluffton five with rounds of 106 and 109, respectively.

Bluffton will wrap up its 2019 fall schedule on the final day of the HCAC Championships at the Bluffton Golf Club on Sunday, Oct. 12. Keely Briggs will tee off at 9 a.m. as the Beavers will be in five of the first six groups on Sunday.
