Beavers defeat Cincinnati Bible, 6-1

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's soccer team (5-8, 0-5) defeated Cincinnati Bible Tuesday afternoon by the score of 6-1. 

The Beavers were led by sophomore BRIANNE VON LEHMDEN (Ft. Jennings/Ft.Jennings) and freshman ASHLEY SHORT (Fayette/Archbold) who tallied two goals each.  Junior KATE BARHORST (Lima/Shawnee) also tallied a goal in the match.  Rounding out the Beaver scoring was senior ROCHELLE SACCOMEN (Ashland/Ashland) who notched her first goal of the season.

"I thought we had good possession even with the low numbers," said coach Smucker.  "I was pleased with how we finished."

The Beavers will return to conference action this Saturday against Transylvania at home.  Start time is scheduled for 12 noon.
