Beavers travel to Indiana University for Billy Hayes Invite

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Bluffton University track and field team was represented by three athletes in their first last chance meet of the season, as they competed at the Billy Hayes Invitational on the campus of Indiana University, competing primarily against a field Division I athletes on Friday, March 3.

Sophomore Bailie Barrington (Waynesfield/Waynesfield-Goshen) led the way for the Beavers, running a new personal-best time of 2:23.12 in the 800, finishing fifth out of 11 competitors with all four athletes in front of her coming from Division I schools.

Junior Connor Gulick (St. Louisville/Utica) competed at 1500 meters on Friday, running a time of 4:10.92, which put him 22nd out of 28 competitors.

The lone field event competitor was freshman Noah Judd (Columbia City, IN) who finished ninth overall in the long jump with a leap of 21 feet, 11.5 inches, which was just shy of his career-best.

The Beavers will travel to Chicago, Ill. on Thursday, May 9, for their next last chance competition at the Dr. Keeler Invitational on the campus of North Central College.
