Kenyon takes down Beavers in four sets

GAMBIER, Ohio - The Bluffton University volleyball team dropped the first two sets en route to a 3-1 victory (25-15, 25-20, 18-25, 25-19) by the Kenyon College Ladies on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019. Bluffton fell to 1-3 on the season, while Kenyon evened up its record at 2-2.

Junior Sarah Heydinger (Tiro/Buckeye Central) led the attack with 12 kills and three aces. Freshman Kaylie Campbell (Camden/Preble Shawnee) knocked down five kills on 12 swings without an error for a red-hot .417 hitting percentage.

Freshman Elle Price (Findlay) dished out 19 assists, while sophomore Maddie White (Ashland) chipped in with 11 helpers. Sophomore Brooke Kleman (Glandorf/Ottawa-Glandorf) picked up 18 digs to help the cause.

Bluffton will make its home debut on Friday, Sept. 6, when the Beavers welcome Heidelberg University for night one of the annual Sommer Center Spiketacular. The first serve is slated for 7 p.m. after the junior varsity tackles the Student Princes at 5 p.m.
