Darrell Briggs, a native of Claysville, Pennsylvania, enters his first season at Bluffton University as an assistant coach for both the track and cross country teams.

Briggs, a 2014 graduate of McGuffey High School, was a dual-sport athlete. He earned varsity letters in both basketball and track and field. He continued his track and field career at Muskingum University. There he broke the school record in the 60-meter hurdles (8.52) and was a 3-time All-Ohio award recipient in the combined events.

In 2019 he was a volunteer assistant coach at McGuffey High School.

Briggs earned a Bachelor of Arts in sports administration from Muskingum University in 2018. He is now pursuing a Masters of Business Administration at Bluffton University with a concentration in leadership while residing in Bluffton.
