Bluffton University junior right-hander MATT PERKINS (Convoy/Crestview) has been picked up by the Anderson Servants of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League for the remainder of the 2007 summer campaign. The GLSCL is one of the premier collegiate summer baseball leagues in the country, providing many Division I athletes with the opportunity to perform in front of major league scouts on a regular basis.

"I am very excited for Matt to have this opportunity to compete in the Great Lakes League. Not only will it be a great individual experience for Matt, but it shows that we are recruiting high-caliber baseball players to our program at Bluffton University," stated head coach James Grandey.

During Perkins' first week with the Servants, he saw action in four contests, tossing 3.1 innings with three strikeouts out of the bullpen.
