Kujawa leads way for Beavers in season opener

OLIVET, Mich. - The Bluffton University men's golf team came to play on day one of the Olivet College Lou Collins Memorial Tour. Bluffton opened its 2022-23 campaign with a round that was just three strokes off the school record on Friday, Sept. 2. The 305 put up by the Beavers landed Bluffton just one stroke out of third place thanks to five scores between 73 and 81.

After a hot pre-season, senior Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer) continued to light up the scorecard with a 73 that has him tied for 5th heading into round two. Sophomore Hunter Jolliff (Elida) and Dominic Castelvetere (Ontario) were both three strokes back with identical scores of 76. Sophomore Brayden Tosi (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) rounded out the 305 with an 80, while Clay Quellhorst (St. Marys/Memorial) chimed in with an 81.

Bluffton will return to the Bedford Valley Country Club for day two of the Lou Collins Memorial Tour with a shotgun start on Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
