Bluffton places 7th in Battle at Belterra

FLORENCE, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's golf team struggled to a 341 on Monday, Sept. 12, but they still nailed down 7th place out of 12 teams competing in the HCAC Preview. The scores were higher across the board at what was dubbed the Battle at Belterra.

Senior Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer) finished the weekend with a team-low 159 following rounds of 74 and 85. Clay Quellhorst (St. Marys/Memorial) and Hunter Jolliff (Elida) followed up their 81's on Sunday with a pair of 84's on Monday for tournament scores of 165 at Belterra. Sophomore Brayden Tosi (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) carded an 88 on the final day, rounding out the Monday scoring four.

Dominic Castelvetere (Ontario) struggled with a 92, while Nathan Eberle (Grove City) finished with an 84.

The men will hone their skills over the next two weeks before joing Bluffton's women at the Allegheny College Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 25, and Monday, Sept. 26.
