Bluffton takes 5th at Earlham Spring Invitational

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's golf team was consistent in its final match prior to the 2023 Heartland Conference Tournament, shooting a 320 on Monday, April 24, after finishing with a 319 on Sunday. It all added up to a 5th place finish for the Beavers who tallied a 639 at the Earlham Men's Spring Invitational.

Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer) took 12th overall with a 155 thanks to rounds of 78 and 77 for the senior. Dominic Castelvetere (Ontario) and Nathan Eberle (Grove City) both went 80-80 on Sunday and Monday for 36-hole scores of 160 which left them tied for 19th in the talented field of primarily Heartland Conference golfers.

Clay Quellhorst (St. Marys/Memorial) was just one tick back of Castelvetere and Eberle as he carded an 80 on Monday after shooting 81 on Sunday. Hunter Jolliff (Elida) and Nick Offenburger (Lexington) both wrapped up the tournament with identical scores of 164, while Justin Metsker (Burbank/Wickliffe) went 87-86 for a total of 173.

Next up for the men's team is a trip to the Belterra Resort which hosts the HCAC Championship. The three-day bonanza tees off on Friday, May 5, and it runs through Sunday, May 7.
