FLORENCE, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's golf team had a solid round of 320 on day one of the 2023 Heartland Conference Championships. The three-day spectacle is at the Belterra Resort and is hosted by Hanover College.
Dominic Castelvetere (Ontario) led the way for Bluffton with a 77 on Friday, good for 10th place heading into Saturday. Just one stroke back is Clay Quellhorst (St. Marys/Memorial) who fired a 78.
Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer) finished with an 80, while Nathan Eberle (Grove City) and Hunter Jolliff (Elida) both carded 85's for the opening 18 holes.
The top six teams are separated by only 20 strokes as Transylvania leads the pack with a 302.
Round two is slated for Saturday, May 6, from Florence, Ind.
