Bluffton sparkles with a 303 at HCAC Championship

TERRE HAUTE Ind. - The Bluffton University men's golf team came out firing at the Heartland Conference Championship on Friday, May 3, blazing its way to a 303 and 4th place showing following day one! The Beavers are 19-over and within striking distance of both Transylvania (300) and Franklin (298) and their 303 is tied for 5th all-time at Bluffton.

Junior Hunter Jolliff (Elida) was clicking on all cylinders, shooting a 68 that included five birdies on Friday! He is in 2nd place heading into round two on Saturday and his 68 is tied for the best round ever at Bluffton! Graduate student Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer) stands in a tie for 7th after his 3-over 74 at the Country Club of Terre Haute.

Freshman Carson Brubaker (Shelby) had his best round as a Beaver, carding a 79 which put him in a tie for 24th after 18 holes. Junior Brayden Tosi (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) checked in with an 82, while sophomore Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) finished with an 83 after a red-hot start that saw him 4-over after 11 holes.

Bluffton will be back at the Country Club of Terre Haute for round two of the 2024 HCAC Championship at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 4.
