Beavers stay hot on day two at HCAC

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's golf team continued its hot play with a 309 at the HCAC Championship on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Bluffton stands fifth, just one stroke behind Earlham, heading into the home stretch. The 612 ranks 3rd all time for 36 holes and the Beavers are on target to shatter the 54-hole mark of 943 when the dust settles on Sunday.

Freshman Carson Brubaker (Shelby) was superb on Saturday, firing a career-best 73 thanks to a 3-under 32 on the back nine! Mr. Consistency Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer) chimed in with a 75 after his 74 on Friday.

Junior Hunter Jolliff (Elida) shot a 79 after his 68 on day one and he leads the Beavers with a 147 after 36 holes. Brayden Tosi (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) and Noah Macke (Columbus Grove) looked like they were using carbon copies as they chipped in with scores of 82 and 83, respectively, the same numbers they wrote in on Friday!

Bluffton will wrap up its 2023-24 season when day three of the HCAC Tournament comes to a close on Sunday, May 5. The Beavers will begin teeing it up with Hanover and Earlham at 10:50 a.m.
