BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University junior Dalton Taynor (Troy/Miami East) was named the HCAC Offensive Player of the Week following a pair of outstanding performances last week. It marks the second time in his career that Taynor has earned HCAC Player of the Week honors.
Taynor knocked in three goals for the Beavers last week. He helped Bluffton to a 2-2 tie at MSJ on Wednesday night and followed that up with two scores in Bluffton's 3-1 win at Anderson on Saturday. He finished the week with six shots, including five on frame.
Saturday marked the first Bluffton victory over Anderson since 2011, snapping a string of eight straight setbacks at the hands of AU. The win at Anderson was Bluffton's first conference road victory since a 3-0 shutout of the Grizzlies at Franklin in 2017.
The men's team is back in action on Wednesday, March 17, at home. Bluffton will welcome Earlham College for a 3:30 p.m. matchup on the Salzman Stadium pitch.
