BEREA, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team had its two-match winning streak snapped at Baldwin Wallace on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023. A 4-2 loss to the Yellow Jackets saw Bluffton's record fall to 2-2, while Baldwin Wallace improved to 1-2-1.

JJ Meyer (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) put Bluffton up 1-0 when he took a nice feed from fellow junior Andrew Ireland (Coshocton/River View) in minute 20. The Beaver lead held up until Baldwin Wallace scored the equalizer with less than four minutes to play in the first half.

Following another Yellow Jacket goal 10 minutes into the second half, Benjamin Davidson (Greenville) hit paydirt for a 2-2 score with just over 30 minutes to play.

Baldwin Wallace went ahead in minute 80 and iced it at the 87:50 mark as they picked up their first victory of the season.

The home team took one more shot than Bluffton (11-10) and the Jackets forced five more corner kicks (9-4). Jackson Clark (Mount Blanchard/Riverdale) led the visitors with three shots.

The Beavers welcome UC-Clermont for the home opener on Wednesday, Sept. 13. Kickoff at the Sears Complex will be at approximately 5:30 following the women's matchup with Asbury University.
