Rose rallies for 2-1 win over Beavers

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's soccer team jumped in front of Rose-Hulman in the first half, but the Engineers scored twice in the final 35 minutes for a 2-1 on Saturday, Oct. 28. It was still a 1-0 lead when Owen Trudt nailed the equalizer just over 11 minutes into the second half. After Caleb Urban dished it to Trudt for Rose's first goal, he was on the receiving end in minute 80 when Elijah Harderson served him up what turned out to be the game winner.

Rose finished with a 15-7 advantage in shots, but just 6-3 on frame. The home team forced five more corner kicks (9-4) and the Beavers were whistled for three more fouls (10-7) RHIT racked up nine of the 10 offsides calls on Saturday afternoon.

Jackson Clark (Mount Blanchard/Riverdale) put both of his shots on frame for the Beavers. Fellow junior Angel Velasco-Urbina (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay) finished with four saves against the Engineers.
