Beavers wrap up 2007 campaign at NCAA Regionals

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Bluffton University cross country teams wrapped up their 2007 campaign at the NCAA Regionals on Saturday, November 10. With only four women completing the course at Calvin, they were unable to place as a team. The men finished 34th as the host team claimed victories in both races.

Senior HILLARY SHILOSIO (Eldoret, Kenya) led the Beavers with a time of 29:53.25. The next Bluffton runner to cross the line was freshman BRIAN TIMPE (Wauseon/Pike-Delta-York) who finished in 30:16.90. TYLER FAIRCHILD (Toledo/Whitmer) and PETER HUSTED(Carrollton/Carrollton) were separated by just over one second, 31:33.75 and 31:34.80, whileBEN ALTHAUS (Delhi, NY/Delhi) and BEN SIEBERT (Celina/Celina) ended the season with times of 32:24.30 and 33:18.50.

Pacing the Bluffton women was senior standout SARAH HUMPHREY (Upper Sandusky/Upper Sandusky) who ended her career at Bluffton with a time of 24:15.15. Freshman ARIANA FRANGOS (Hudson/Twinsburg) was just over a minute off Humphrey's pace, finishing in 25:33.85. Sophomores SARAH BINKLEY (Bluffton/Cory-Rawson) and BROOKE HABRUN(Magnolia/Sandy Valley) rounded out the finishers for the Beavers with times of 27:12.75 and 30:31.60, respectively.
