BLUFFTON, Ohio - Freshman TIFFANY BUCKMASTER (Lima/Bath) was recently named Player of the Week in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Buckmaster's selection marked the fourth time in six weeks that a Bluffton softball player has been named Hitter of the Week. LINDSEY MILLER (Wapakoneta/Wapakoneta), the Heartland Conference female Athlete of the Month for March, has picked up Hitter of the Week honors three times this season.

Buckmaster led the Beavers to a 4-0 record, all conference victories, for the week. She went 8-of-11 (.727) with six runs scored and one RBI. She stole a base and had two sacrifice bunts for Bluffton. The second baseman was a perfect 5-of-5 at the dish with four runs scored and an RBI in the Beavers' two five-inning sweeps of Franklin on Saturday.

Bluffton (18-12, 8-2 HCAC) moved into first place in the conference following four straight HCAC sweeps in the past two weeks and nine consecutive victories overall. The Beavers host Heidelberg at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, before traveling to Case Reserve for a pair of non-league games this Saturday, April 19, 2008.
