Brianna Gillig named HCAC Player of the Week

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Brianna Gillig (New Riegel) has been named the HCAC Player of the Week for her work in a pair of Heartland Conference victories over Earlham and Franklin. It marks the second time this season that Gillig has been named HCAC Player of the Week and also the second time she did it against those same two opponents!

Gillig averaged a double-double of 22.5 PPG and 10.0 RPG as Bluffton took down Earlham and Franklin in Heartland Conference action. She was a blistering 17-of-19 (89.5 percent) at the line and Gillig also finished the week with three assists.

The three-time All-HCAC honoree is currently up to #2 on the all-time scoring list (1,354), just 39 points away from all-time great Macey Sheerer (1,393)! Gillig is also 3rd on the all-time rebounding list with 717 career boards.

Bluffton is on the road at Manchester University for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off with the Spartans on Tuesday, Feb. 15, before the Defiance College hits the Sommer Center for the regular-season finale on Friday, Feb. 18.
