Beavers take second at Manchester Invite

WABASH, Ind. - The Bluffton University women's golf team leapfrogged Defiance into second place at the Manchester Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022. Bluffton was consistent at Honeywell, scoring 352 and 351 for a 703 weekend total.

Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Loudon) shaved three strokes off her Saturday score with a team-low 83 on Sunday. She finished the tournament tied for 5th with a 169. Fellow sophomore Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Hilliard Bradley) was two ticks back in seventh with a 171.

Senior Haley Gill (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central) was down six strokes on Sunday, going 89-83 for a 172 and eighth place finish. Sophomore Shelby Stammen (Fort Recovery) and freshman Sara Kroeger (Cincinnati/Mount Notre Dame) went 202 and 204, respectively, for a pair of top 20 finishes.

Bluffton jumps right back into action next Sunday, Sept. 25, when both the women and the men travel to Allegheny College for the Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational. Go Beavers!
