Bluffton holds on to 5th at HCAC Championship

KIEFFERVILLE, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's golf team shaved a pert 12 strokes off its Friday opening round when the Beavers teed it up on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Bluffton stands 5th at 713 with 18 holes to play in the Heartland Conference Championship.

For the second straight day, Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) paced the Beavers, this time with a sparkling 79. Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Hilliard Bradley) also bettered her Friday score, shooting an 86 in round two.

Senior Haley Gill (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central) carded a 90, while Shelby Stammen (Fort Recovery) rounded out the scoring four with a 96, two strokes better than her 98 on day one. Freshman Sara Kroeger (Cincinnati/Mount Notre Dame) added a 100 to her HCAC tally on Saturday.

Bluffton will be back at Moose Landing Country Club for the final round of the HCAC Tournament on Sunday, April 30.
