Bluffton kicks off spring at Music City Shootout

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. - The Bluffton University women's golf team kicked off the 2024 spring slate with a 351 on day one of the Music City Shootout. Rose-Hulman is serving as the host and Bluffton came in ahead of Heartland Conference rivals Hanover and Defiance on Saturday, March 2.

Picking up where she left off in the fall was junior Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) who paced the Beavers with an 83. Just off her pace was freshman transfer Hope Manning (South Charleston/Southeastern) who carded an 84 in her first round as a member of the Bluffton golf team!

Freshman Jordan Hemmelgarn (Coldwater) and Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Hilliard Bradley) went 91 and 93, respectively, while Alyssa Begoon (New Madison/Tri-Village) put up a 99 on day one. Gabby Green (Beavercreek/Carroll) and Cheyanne Bolden (Sidney) chipped in with scores of 102 and 119 on Saturday afternoon.

The Bluffton women will tie a bow on the Music City Shootout Sunday before traveling to Alabama for a spring break of golf in the sun!
