LIMA, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's golf team shot a 352 on Saturday, taking 7th at the Polar Beaver Classic with a 686 for 36 holes. It marked the inaugural event hosted by Bluffton and Ohio Northern.
Freshman Hope Manning (South Charleston/Southeastern) shot a team-low 87 on Saturday, giving her a 169 which equaled junior Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Bradley) for Bluffton's best scores of the weekend. Junior Kiley Cline went 86-86 for a 172, while Jordan Hemmelgarn (Coldwater) and Alyssa Begoon (New Madison/Tri-Village) rounded out the 'A' squad with Saturday scores of 91 and 101, respectively, giving the freshmen weekend totals of 176 and 200.
Sophomore Sara Kroeger (Cincinnati/Mount Notre Dame) carded a 94 one day after her 91, adding up to a 185. Gabby Green (Beavercreek/Carroll) finished with a 196, going 95 and 101.
Shelby Stammen (Fort Recovery) chipped in with a 199 and Cheyanne Bolden (Sidney) finished with a 109 for a 215.
Bluffton will head to Anderson University for a two-day event at the Anderson Country Club next Saturday, April 13.
