BLUFFTON, Ohio - Jake Baumgartner (Toledo/Start) has been named the HCAC Hitter of the Week for his work at the plate last week.

Baumgartner led the Beavers to a 4-1 mark, including a spotless 4-0 record in Heartland Conference games. He hit .348 (8-of-23) with two homers, five RBI and four runs scored. The senior second sacker smacked a game-tying home run in the 11th inning of Friday's instant classic with Earlham and then he followed that up with a walkoff two-run double in the 12th! Baumgartner has helped Bluffton to a school-record tying seven straight HCAC wins! 

The Beavers will look to win their fourth straight game when they welcome Wittenberg for a non-conference showdown with the 16-6 Tigers on Wednesday, April 12. The first pitch at Memorial Field is slated for 4:15 p.m.
