Bluffton to host The Leadership Playbook

AKRON, Ohio - High school coaches and athletic directors seeking a professional development opportunity in Northwest Ohio are in luck as the Bluffton University athletic department will be hosting The Leadership Playbook Coaching Clinic on Sunday, September 10.

Topics that'll be covered at the leadership clinic include Parent Issues, Team Captains, Creative Coaching Ideas, and Athlete Buy-in.

The clinics are operated by Bechler Leadership as a resource to help coaches and athletics directors make a more positive impact on the people they lead. The organization was founded by Jamy Bechler (5x author, speaker, former college basketball coach, and host of the "Success is a Choice" podcasting network).

"There are plenty of clinics that teach X's and O's", said Bechler. "Our focus is on helping coaches be better leaders and people of influence. We're more worried about the overall culture of their program rather than their playbook. At the end of the day, that's what matters the most. When coaches get better, their student-athletes get better."

TheLeadershipPlaybook.com is Bechler Leadership's online curriculum focused on building better teammates, more positive teammates, and stronger cultures. Additionally, the program presents awards to deserving student-athletes, administrators, and coaches.

The Leadership Playbook Coaching Clinics will be held in more than a dozen locations throughout Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky. However, the clinic at Bluffton University will be the only visit to Northwest Ohio this Fall.

The clinic will run from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and lunch will be provided. Spots are limited to ensure personalized interaction and engagement. Discounts are also available for 5+ coaches from the same school.
