BLUFFTON, Ohio - Sophomore Jeremy Anderson (South Richwood/Airport) has been named the football defensive player-of-the-week for the Heartland Conference.

Anderson had two interceptions and ran the first one back 62 yards for a touchdown in Bluffton's 35-13 win over Manchester College last Saturday. The cornerback also posted five tackles (4 solo, 1 assisted) for the contest. The win broke Bluffton's two-game losing streak and gave them their first HCAC opening weekend victory since the 2000 season.

Bluffton University will be idle this Saturday, but will be back in action on October 16 at Anderson University. Kickoff for the contest is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
