BLUFFTON, Ohio - Seth Burkholder has been named the National Special Teams Player-of-the-Week by Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette. Burkholder was given the honor following his performance in the Beaver's 24-17 defeat of Anderson University last Saturday.

The junior kicker connected on a 39-yard field goal to help establish Bluffton's 17-0 lead in the first quarter of the Anderson game. He also punted the ball seven times for 287 total yards for an average of 41.0 yards per punt. Burkholder also punted the ball three times within the Ravens own 20-yard line.

"Seth's punting and kicking were very signicant in the Anderson game," head coach Greg Brooks said. "But, the entire team's effort propelled us to the win."

For the season Burkholder has connected on three field goals and averages 35 yards per punt.

The Beavers will play conference foe Hanover College this Saturday at home. Start time for the contest is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
