Anderson named Heartland Conference Player of Week

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Junior Jeremy Anderson (South Rockwood Mi./Airport) has been named special teams' football Player-of-the-week for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference for the week ending Sept. 25, 2005.

Anderson returned three kickoffs for 82 yards, including a 39-yard return, during the Beavers' 45-21 loss to the Adrian College Bulldogs on Saturday, September 24 at Salzman Stadium. Jeremy also led the Bluffton defense with 11 tackles from his cornerback position.   

The Beavers now stand at 1-3 for the season and they will travel to Manchester College on Saturday, October 1 to open Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action for 2005. Kickoff at North Manchester is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in Carl W. Burt Stadium.
