McCullough named HCAC Player of the Week

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University linebacker Sam McCullough (Bluffton, Ohio/Bluffton) had another outstanding game for the Beavers and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on defense.

The senior recorded 21 stops (14 solo), 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and added a pickoff. His 23-yard interception return to the five-yard line set up Bluffton's second touchdown in the Beavers' 37-19 loss to the Hornets. 

McCullough leads the HCAC and ranks among the national leaders with a 14.7 tackles per game average. Bluffton (0-3) will look for its first win on Saturday when conference heavyweight Franklin (2-1) travels to Salzman Stadium.
