BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University linebacker Sam McCullough (Bluffton, Ohio/Bluffton) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on defense for the third time this season.
The senior paced the Beavers with 19 tackles, including seven solos, in Bluffton's last second loss at Hanover on Saturday, Oct. 27. He also added two sacks and a fumble recovery against the Panthers.
McCullough leads the HCAC and ranks among the national leaders with a 14.9 tackles per game average. Bluffton (0-8, 0-5 HCAC) will host conference rival Mt. St. Joseph (7-1, 5-1 HCAC) at Salzman Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007.
