November 9, 2009

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University kick returner Todd Trotter (Cincinnati, Ohio/Aiken University) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on special teams for the week ending November 8, 2009.

It marks the second time this season that Trotter has been named Special Teams Player of the Week in the HCAC after returning a kickoff for a score. Trotter had an 86-yarder for a touchdown against Adrian in week two.

Trotter returned six kickoffs for 187 total yards, including an 80-yarder for a score in the first quarter of Bluffton's game at Hanover on Saturday. He also recovered a muffed punt by the Panthers in the third stanza that set up a field goal for Bluffton.

The Beavers wrap up their 2009 campaign with a trip to Defiance on Saturday, Nov. 14, for a 1:30 p.m. matchup with the Yellow Jackets.
