Sealscott named HCAC Player of the Week

September 7, 2010

Bluffton University safety Steve Sealscott (Van Wert) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on defense for the week ending September 5, 2010.

Sealscott helped the Beavers to their 30-28 win over Kalamazoo and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on defense. The junior captain contributed five tackles, a pass breakup, and had a 36-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown that put the Beavers on top 24-21 with 12 minutes to play in the contest.

Following the season-opening victory at Kalamazoo, Bluffton now returns home to face nationally-ranked Trine University on Saturday, Sept. 11. The contest with the Thunder is slated for 1:30 p.m. in Salzman Stadium and it is part of numerous Gameday at Bluffton activities which coincide with the home opener.
