Ohio College Football Game of the Week

Sept. 23, 2013

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Following a convincing 36-21 victory over Earlham College in the 2013 Heartland Conference opener for both teams, Bluffton's Sept. 28 Coach to Cure Muscular Dystrophy contest with Mount St. Joseph has been selected as Game of the Week by OhioCollegeFootball.com.

Junior wideout Donovan Brown, who powered Bluffton with three touchdown receptions and a two-point conversion against Earlham, will have a homecoming of sorts when the Beavers tackle Mount St. Joseph this weekend. Brown graduated from Purcell Marian High School in Cincinnati before choosing to continue his gridiron career at Bluffton University.

The North-South rivalry of schools along Interstate 75 had been weighted in MSJ's favor until Bluffton broke the 10-game hex with a 14-7 victory over Mount St. Joseph last season. The Beavers took down the Lions in front of a raucous Salzman Stadium crowd that erupted when Bluffton came out on top.

The Heartland Conference matchup between Bluffton and MSJ was one of just four contests selected by OhioCollegeFootball for Game of the Week honors. Also highlighted this week is the Wisconsin at Ohio State matchup that will be played under the lights in Columbus.
