With Bluffton trailing 17-0 late in the first quarter, freshman quarterback Blake Rine (Heath/Granville) connected with sophomore Ethan Beringer (Findlay/Carey) from 15 yards out, making it 17-6 with less than a minute to play in the opening stanza.

The Engineers rolled off 31 consecutive points, pushing the spread to 48-6 before an 18-yard pitch and catch from Rine to Treavon Cummings (Leesburg, Fla./First Academy) ended the scoring drought with 4:22 to play.

Rine completed 19 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Dine and Kale Lee (Spencerville) both hauled in four receptions with Beringer and Cummings pulling in touchdown catches. Maalik Tucker (Fostoria) and Todd King Jr. (Springfield) went for 33 and 32 yards on the ground, respectively.

Nick Perry (Northwood/Lake) chipped in with three TFL's.

Rose-Hulman finished with a 408-248 advantage in total yards, but the four interceptions by RHIT were even more damaging. The Beavers moved the chains just 3-of-14 times on third down, while Rose converted 9-of-18 opportunities. The visitors finished with 18 first downs, two more than the Engineers.

Bluffton is back at Alumni Field for a 1:30 kickoff with Manchester University on Saturday, Nov. 6.
