ALLIANCE, Ohio - Bluffton University sophomore Joey Bonham (Vanlue) traveled to Alliance for the Mount Union Last Chance meet on a beautiful May 18, 2023. It marked the final meet with national qualifying as the goal for all the athletes competing on Thursday.

Bonham wrapped up his 2023 outdoor campaign with a leap of 1.88 meters in the high jump. It was just shy of his 1.91-meter jump at the HCAC Championships that earned him a silver medal three weeks ago.

Junior Desmond Gist (Detroit, Mich.) rested on Thursday and he will now await the final seedings for the NCAA Outdoor Championships slated for May 25 through May 27. He entered the day 13th in the country in the 110-meter hurdles and the top 22 will earn a trip to St. John Fisher in Pittsford, NY. next week!
