RICHMOND, Ind. - The Bluffton University cross country teams traveled to Richmond, Indiana, for the Earlham Invitational on Saturday, September 29, 2007. Otterbein College controlled the meet, placing first in both the men's and women's races.

Senior SARAH HUMPHREY (Upper Sandusky/Upper Sandusky) led the Bluffton women at the invitational, crossing the line at 20:29.00. Her outstanding time placed her 12th of 114. Less than two-minutes behind Humphrey, freshman ARIANA FRANGOS (Hudson/Twinsburg) finished with a time of 22:11.00. Senior BREE FETTERMAN (North Royalton/Padua) and sophomore SARAH BINKLEY (Bluffton/Cory-Rawson) followed Frangos, placing 80th and 92nd with times of 23:25.08 and 24:15.00, respectively. Freshman AMY TRACEY (North Ridgeville/Elyria Catholic) was the final Beaver to cross the line as she put together a time of 27:42.00. The Beavers placed 10th out of 12 teams in the women's 5K run.

Senior HILLARY SHILOSIO (Eldoret/Kenya) led the Bluffton squad during the men's 8K run, crossing the line at 30:17.00. Senior PETE HUSTED (Carrollton/Carrollton) and freshman BRIAN TIMPE (Wauseon/Pike-Delta-York) were not far behind Shilosio as they finished the race with times of 31:22.00 and 32.05.00, respectively. Senior MIKE KOCH (Liberty Center/Liberty Center) and TYLER FAIRCHILD (Toledo/Whitmer) crossed the finish line neck and neck, separated by only nine seconds for 106th and 107th place with times of 32:42.00 and 32:51.00. Sophomore BEN SIEBERT (Celina/Celina) and freshman BEN ALTHAUS (Delhi, NY/Delhi) rounded out the Bluffton finishers, 34:03.00 and 34:32.00. The Bluffton men's squad tied with Ohio Dominican for 10th place at the Earlham Invitational.

The Beavers return to action on Friday, October 5, when they compete in the All-Ohio Championships. The meet is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University
