BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University junior BRITTANY BAKER (Springboro) has been named the HCAC Hitter of the Week for April 7-13 after helping the Beavers to a crucial sweep at Franklin College on Saturday, April 12. It marks the second Hitter of the Week for Bluffton this year. Fellow junior JESS KUZARA (Flat Rock, Mich./Huron) picked up the same honor following Bluffton's 8-2 start in Florida.

Baker went 10-of-16 for the week (.625 BA) with 11 RBI and five runs scored. She finished the week with two doubles, two homers two stolen bases and a sacrifice bunt. Baker went 7-of-10 at Franklin with 10 RBI and four runs scored. Baker hit a two-run shot in game one and she followed that with a grand slam in game two. She slugged 1.125 for the week. Baker's batting average went from .309 to .352 (43 points) following the sweep of the Grizzlies.
