2006 HCAC All-Academic Awards

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference recently announced the men's and women's basketball recipients of the HCAC All-Academic Awards for the 2005-06 school year. Two women's basketball players, senior KARIN SCHALLER (Jenera, Ohio/Arlington) and junior TANYA RICKENBERG (Paulding, Ohio/Paulding), were both honored for their efforts in the classroom. The Bluffton University men's basketball team had three juniors lauded for their accomplishments as student-athletes. TOM HEIL (Stow, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban), DAVID PATCH (Minster, Ohio/Minster) and ERIC SCHWIETERMAN (St. Henry, Ohio/St. Henry) were named HCAC All-Academic for their work in the classroom. To earn this honor, a student-athlete must have completed a full year at the institution, be a varsity athlete and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average through the semester preceding the end of the season.
