Women stand 3rd at Spring Invite after Day 1

BEAVERDAM, Ohio - The Bluffton University women stood 3rd at Hidden Creek following day one of the Bluffton Spring Invitational, trailing just Ohio Northern and Mount St. Joseph.

A pair of freshmen set the pace on Saturday as Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) and Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Hilliard Bradley) lit it up with idenitical scores of 84. Brylee Oberdorf (Green Springs/Clyde) checked in with an 87 after being on assignment in Chicago as part of her education requirements during the fall season. Haley Gill (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central) rounded out the scorers on Saturday with a 91. Shelby Stammen (Fort Recovery) and Isabelle Vance (Continental/Miller City) both cracked 100 with scores of 92 and 97, respectively.

Heading into the final stages on Sunday, Bluffton has jumped into second place behind Ohio Northern with a handful of holes to play!
