BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Bluffton University women's golf squad finished day one of the Beaver Fall Classic on Saturday, Oct. 15. The women currently sit in third place out of six teams with a 357.
Haley Gill (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central) found herself powering the team with an 86, putting her in a tie for seventh place. Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Loudon) was just one off her pace with an 87, placing her in ninth place. Fellow freshman Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Bradley) tallied an 89 to leave her just outside of the top ten, tied for 11th. Rounding out the Bluffton scorers was Sara Kroeger (Cincinnati/Mount Notre Dame), shooting a 95, and Shelby Stammen (Fort Recovery) with a 97.
Two more Beavers competed on Saturday. Cheyanne Bolden (Sidney) shot a 104 to place her 27th overall, while Isabel Miller (Dayton/Centerville) went 110 and stands 29th.
The women are back in action tomorrow for day two of the Beaver Fall Classic. Tee-off is slated for 9:30 a.m. at the Bluffton Golf Club. Go Beavers!
