BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's golf team opened the Beaver Fall Classic with a 332 on a beautiful, Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023. Bluffton (332) trails just Ohio Northern (308) heading into the finale on Sunday.
Freshman Gabby Green (Beavercreek/Carroll) dialed up a hole-in-one on the par 3 #17 at Bluffton Golf Club on Saturday, marking the first competition ace for Head Coach Adam Craig at Bluffton University! Green finished with a 95 on day one.
Leading the way for the Beavers was Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Bradley) who fired a 74 on Saturday. The junior stands 2nd overall and it puts her in a tie for 2nd all-time at Bluffton! Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) followed with a 78 for the home team.
Jordan Hemmelgarn (Coldwater) carded an 87, while fellow freshman Alyssa Begoon (New Madison/Tri-Village) chimed in with a 93. Juniors Cheyanne Bolden (Sidney) and Isabel Miller (Centreville) rounded out the scoring with identical rounds of 100 on day one.
Bluffton will tee it up at 10:45 a.m. as the Beavers look to chase down the Polar Bears on Sunday, Oct. 1.
